Mystery surrounds the discovery of a reportedly naked man, found in the snow suffering from hypothermia at Falls Creek.
The 22-year-old South Korean was heard groaning in the snow near a chalet on the Bogong-High Plains Road about 4.30am.
Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said the man was wearing shorts, a T-shirt and runners.

But Dominic Blanks, the doctor who treated the man at the Falls Creek Medical Centre, said that did not appear to be the case."I don't even think he was wearing that, I think he was naked in the snow," Dr Blanks said.
The man was believed to be semi-conscious when he was found and had lost consciousness when he arrived at the clinic.
"Initially he had a temperature of 24.5, normal would start about 36 and anything below 30 is quite severe hypothermia," Dr Blanks said.
Mr Mullen said the man was suffering severe hypothermia and paramedics feared he would die if his body temperature had dropped any lower.
He was placed in an induced coma and transported to the Albury Base Hospital in a critical condition.
Police are investigating how the man came to spend the night in the freezing temperatures.
The temperature at Falls Creek at 4am this morning was 1.8 degrees, but the apparent temperature was an icy -8.3 degrees.
Senior intensive care paramedic Patrick Gleeson said a normal body temperature was 37 degrees.
"The patient's core temperature was 24 degrees, that's one of the coldest patients that I've been to in 30 years of ambulance experience, it's typically not seen in Australia," Mr Gleeson said.
"The gentleman was very lucky to have been found when he was, with such a low temperature he was indeed very fortunate to be found then.
"With such a low body temperature a patients system starts to shut down, anything under 28 degrees celsius is considered an emergency and a life threatening situation so this gentleman's condition was perilous."
