Kiwi in Dubai sex triangle sentenced to jail

A New Zealand man faces a spell in a Dubai jail for having consensual sex with two women.
Toby Carroll, 33, was sentenced to two months in prison and the two women he slept with were jailed for one month each, Gulf News reported.
The trio were arrested in December last year after Carroll called police on his ex-girlfriend Priscilla Ferreira, saying the 25-year-old Brazilian model burst into his flat, busting him with another woman, and threatening them with a knife.
Priscila Ferreira ... busted Tony Carroll with another woman. Priscilla Ferreira ... busted Tony Carroll with another woman.
All three will be deported after serving their sentences.
Briton Danielle Spencer, 31, and Ferreira became friends after they were forced to share a jail cell when they were initially arrested.
Carroll's lawyer, Salman Lutfi, who also represented Spencer, said they had already appealed the verdict and he expected them to be bailed today.
Sex outside marriage in Dubai is illegal.
It is believed Carroll ended his relationship with Ferreira the same day she caught him in bed with Spencer.
"When officers arrived they came across a bizarre scene," a police source said.
"The trio were shouting at each other and all hell was breaking loose. The officers had to try and calm them down."
Spencer is believed to have locked herself in the bathroom while Carroll called police.
Ferreira allegedly smashed various items in Carroll's apartment before police arrived.
Police arrested all three and locked them up in Bur Dubai police station, where they spent Christmas and New Year.
The Dubai court heard on June 1 that a DNA specimen provided by Carroll matched a sample found on his British lover's bed.
Carroll's Paeroa-based mother Beverley Carroll declined to comment.
"Sorry, I've got nothing to say about that," she said.
