One piece from the Madoff collection made out of Ralph Lauren chino pants.
Would you let Bernie Madoff pocket your iPad? A US fashion house hopes to trouser healthy profits by selling a range of iPad cases made from the disgraced stock broker's pants. The collection, dubbed "The Bernie Madoff", was created using Madoff's old clothing which was sold at a U.S. Marshals auction last year.
Available to order from the Frederick James website - brainchild of US tech entrepreneur John Vaccaro - the cases are going for $US350 a piece.

The set contains 31 iPad covers made from Madoff's old trousers from brands including Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic and J.Crew. It is unclear how many have sold so far but only two were listed on the Frederick James website at te time of writing."There are a lot of collectors out there who would like to own a quirky piece of history, even the worst kind. I would have been first in line to own a piece from the Dillinger or Bonnie & Clyde era," said Vaccaro in a statement.
Frederick James designs and manufacturers iPad covers out of "rescued and vintage fabrics" such as cashmere, silk, rayon, organza and wool.
Madoff was sentenced in June 2009 to 150 years in prison, the maximum allowed, after he admitted to being the mastermind of the largest Ponzi scheme in history. The scheme, which federal investigators believe may have begun as early as the 1970s, defrauded thousands of investors of billions of dollars.
