A desperate photo shoot

It looks like Preity Zinta is making a desperate attempt to resurrect her career in Bollywood once again. After the debacle of her last film and an itsy-bitsy item number, Preity is ensuring that her next venture turns out to be a successful one, and is leaving no stone unturned for her maiden home production Ishq in Paris.
After sorting out the pre-production work of the film, she is now devoting all her time to looking picture perfect for the film. To acquire this look, Preity is apparently splurging, hold your breath, `1 crore on the photo shoot! It is touted to be among the most expensive shoots in B’town till date. At present, Preity is kicked about her first look test with Los Angeles based photographer Ashutosh Gupta. Indian-born Ashutosh is a celebrated, internationally known photographer who has made his home in Los Angeles and has photographed top models and celebrities. Preity is known to be close to him and has kept in touch with him for many years.
Having been an entrepreneur, Preity says that she has the expertise and confidence in managing business deals now. She has finalised the budget of the film and wants to complete shooting in time. “My target is to wind up the film in the time frame I’ve set, and within the stipulated budget. I guess this is the only sensible plan that will work out,” says the actress. The actress is confident that she will be able to pull it off. “I’ve always worked according to my instincts. Ishq In Paris has helped me understand what works. I’m a smart girl and I’m sure I’ll pull this off,” she says. Well, we have our reservations about the smartness quotient as Preity goes on to elaborate her short stint at the Harvard University for the umpteenth time. Yawn.
“After taking up the course at the Harvard Business School, I gave two years to understanding the nitty-gritties of different models of business. So it should be easier focusing on this film,” she says. We just hope the film lives up to her fans’ expectations.
